Born and raised in Namibia, Lovisa is a researcher, cultural archivist, model and self-taught photographer, currently based between Windhoek and Berlin. Overall, their body of work is inspired by Southern African tradition, music and Afrofuturism, and it often touches on various social topics, with the intention of empowering and celebrating the subject(s) in question. They primarily work with analogue photography, and credit their lived experiences with contributing to these creative processes. They are an avid anime watcher and a collector of vintage photography books.
